About The Course

This course and workshop is designed for general surgical pathologists, pathologists specialized in gynecological pathology, pathologists-in-training, oncological gynecologists and other specialties dealing with gynecological pathology. The aim of the course is to provide participants with a comprehensive review and update on selected topics  to harmonize morphologic and molecular findings in gynecological pathology. There will be opportunities to bring one’s own cases for consultation and discussion during the interactive consultation seminar and throughout the breaks. The course includes lectures and slide seminars including unusual cases. Printed and electronic handout materials will be available for each participant.

Meet Our Distinguished Faculty

Kyle M. Devins

Kyle M. Devins, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in gynecologic and genitourinary pathology. Dr. Devins is passionate about peer education and has spoken nationally and internationally about a variety of topics in gynecologic pathology. His research interests are varied, but are predominantly focused on ovarian sex cord-stromal tumors, mesenchymal tumors of the gynecologic tract, and exploring practical issues in diagnostic pathology.

Gulisa Turashvili

Gulisa Turashvili, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and Associate Pathologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. Her areas of expertise are gynecologic and breast pathology. She is the Vice-Chair of the College of American Pathologists Cancer Committee and oversees synoptic reporting protocols for gynecologic cancers. She is the Associate Editor for Gynecologic Pathology for the American Journal of Clinical Pathology and serves on the editorial boards of Modern Pathology, Laboratory Investigation, International Journal of Gynecological Pathology, and other peer-reviewed journals.

Esther Oliva

Dr. Esther Oliva is a member of the pathology department, director of the Gynecologic service at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Oliva was born in Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain) and trained under three of the most world renowned gynecologic pathologists, Dr. Robert E Scully, Dr. Robert H. Young and Dr. Jaime Prat. She trained in anatomic pathology at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Barcelona) and the Massachusetts General Hospital. Her passion is to teach newer generations of pathologists from all over the world.
